Club Programs

Storm FC is the competitive soccer arm of the Loveland Youth Soccer Association (LYSA) which provides soccer programs to youth of all ages and abilities.

Loveland Recreational Soccer

Our recreational soccer program includes youth from 3 years to 18 years old. Our younger ages are run in-house, and older ages participate in SAY Soccer Leagues with nearby communities. All practices are at fields within the Loveland School District.

U9 to U10 Boys & Girls

Our development teams play in the Greater Cincinnati Soccer League (GCSL) or the Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer League (BPYSL).  We feel that every child develops at different times and this gives the coaches time to evaluate each player before placing them on a more competitive team.

U11 to U16 Boys & Girls

Our older teams are divided by skill and competitiveness and also compete in the Greater Cincinnati Soccer League (GCSL), Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer League (BPYSL) and other leagues around the Cincinnati area.

Seniors Program (U15 to U19)

The seniors’ program is built around the needs of high school age players who have completed their freshman year to players finishing their senior year. Seniors offers players an opportunity to continue to develop technical and tactical skills coupled with more rigorous game strategy training.

Seniors Program

The seniors’ program is built around the needs of high school age players who have completed their freshman year to players finishing their senior year (U15 to U19). Seniors is Directed by Anthony Doherty, Director of Player Development and Varsity Assistant Coach at Loveland High School. Anthony currently holds a USSF C License.

Seniors offers players an opportunity to continue to develop technical and tactical skills coupled with more rigorous game strategy training. Teams will participate in local elite tournaments early March, regional tournaments in April and State Cup in May. They will play at a top level in the Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer League. Teams will begin to practice after the fall high school season and train indoors in January and February. Outdoor training will use fields in the Loveland community.

Storm FC is a player centered soccer club that believes competitive soccer is an opportunity for developing skills and values for success in all aspects of life. It works with families to create schedules that respect the hectic life parents lead.

// Our Seasons  //

Storm FC is a year-round soccer program. We play in two distinct league seasons; fall and spring. Teams are formed in late spring, typically end of May and early June) though an open tryout process that all prospective players, including current Storm players, attend. All of our teams follow the same basic schedule during the fall and spring season. Here is general overview

Late May
Tryouts – all players are required to attend tryouts. Current players are not guaranteed a place on next season’s team. Tryouts are run by our coaching staff.

June and July
No formal training. Teams will often hold pick up games during the summer, either as a team or as part of an age group. In some cases boys and girls may play together

Some teams participate in voluntary summer small sided game or sand soccer tournaments for fun

August through October
Fall training is typically kicked off with a week of all club training Monday through Friday nights. Our younger teams focus on ball skill development while the older teams build in conditioning and team play training.

League play runs from the end of August until the end of October. Our teams play in either the Greater Cincinnati Soccer League or the Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer League.

Most teams participate in 2 or 3 tournaments in the fall. Some teams choose to travel to an out of town tournament where they will spend the weekend.

November and December
Nothing formal is scheduled. Our players and families need time to pursue other activities, and enjoy the holidays. Many of our boys and girls play basketball during the winter.

January and February
We rent space at Cincinnati Sports Nation on Friday nights for teams that want to work on ball skills. Many of the teams will work with a Coerver coach during this time.

Some teams play in an indoor league. There is not practice between games which are usually held on Saturdays and Sundays.

March to May
Formal practices begin at the beginning in March; often using indoor facilities in the early weeks because of wet field conditions. Practices run until the season ends at the end of May

League play runs from early April until end of May

Most teams will participate in 2 spring tournaments
